Step 2:鈥Submit听a request to听your听school counselor听to email听a copy of your听transcript听(and ACT scores,听if applicable)听to听transcripts@trenholmstate.edu

-Dual enrollment听students听are advised to听take courses that:

(1) satisfy their high school鈥痝raduation鈥痳equirements鈥痺ith dual credit;

(2) are鈥痳equired鈥痶o earn an award鈥痠n their chosen pathway;鈥痑nd/or听

(3) will transfer to the college they plan to attend.鈥

-Early college students听are听enrolled鈥痠n听pre-selected听courses each semester听by their advisor.鈥

厂迟别辫鈥4:鈥疌omplete and鈥痵ubmit鈥痶he鈥痵igned听High School Authorization Form

Step 5:鈥(Optional)鈥疭tudents may sign and鈥痵ubmit鈥痶he听electronic听FERPA form to authorize the release of information听pertaining to听coursework听and/or academic records, for example. *The Early College program consists of structured pathways with pre-selected courses. Students in this program will be enrolled in required classes听by their听advisor听each semester of matriculation.

Additional Information:

Students who request听or听are required听to听take鈥痗ollege-level鈥痬ath听and/or English鈥痬ust听have placement scores on file鈥before鈥痶hey can enroll听in听the respective course.鈥疌ourse placement听is听determined听by听results received on the听ACT听subsections听or from the Accuplacer placement听test.鈥

Dual Enrollment:鈥赌

  • Must be听enrolled in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade鈥
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (unweighted)听for听the听Gen Ed pathway听and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (unweighted)听for听all听CTE听pathways
  • Must听submit听the听signed High School Authorization Form听(required听for鈥each鈥痵emester of participation)

Early College:鈥

  • Must听enroll听at the start of 10th听grade鈥
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0鈥
  • Must听submit听the听signed High School Authorization Form听(required听for鈥each鈥痵emester of participation)

Students who meet the criteria for听initial听acceptance听in听the听Dual Enrollment听or Early College program听will remain continuously eligible听by earning a听鈥淐鈥 or better in all attempted college coursework. Students who听fail to听meet this听minimum听grade requirement or who withdraw from a course听will be placed on probation听for a minimum of one semester. Probations cannot be served during the summer term.听

Dual Enrollment:听Students听may not return to the program听until the听probation听has been served.

Early College: Students who听withdraw or听fail to听maintain听the听minimum听grade requirement听and who would like to听continue participation听will鈥痓e听advised鈥痶o transition听into the Dual Enrollment program听due to听the curriculum guidelines听required听in Early College.

Scholarship funds听for dual enrollment and early college programs听may be used to cover听the cost of听tuition,听fees, and听textbooksdepending on the availability of funds, the needs of the individual student, and听course requirements. The scope of each scholarship is听determined听by available funding and the scholarship grant guidelines. Costs covered will be听determined听on an individual basis.

Advising is the process of听preparing for听the instruction and training听required听for the program of study a student wishes to pursue. At Trenholm State, students work individually with听an听advisor to plan, select听appropriate courses, and learn听of听college resources that are available to help them achieve degree completion.

Students听are not allowed to register themselves.听Course registrations are completed by our office once student eligibility听is听verified and all required paperwork is received.
